Summary/Objective: The Electrician is an integral member of the Operations Maintenance team responsible for troubleshooting, installation and/or modification of electrical control systems and PLC programs of varying size and complexity that are critical aspects of winery operations
Essential Job Functions:
Ensures all automated systems are running at an optimum on a day-to-day basis, and in conjunction with the Facilities Maintenance Teams.
Drives efficiency improvements through design (or assist in design) and implementation of electrical control systems and PLC programs throughout the winery.
Identifies and provides guidance to the winery Management Team on the maintenance, and upgrades of electrical and automated control systems in the plant facilities.
Installs, modifies electrical control systems throughout the winery. Maintain, repair or oversee the repair of issues as identified.
Drafting and maintaining effective documentation of electrical and control system updates or changes.
Work with Operations Team in the review of Contractor quotations to ensure that fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval.
Represent the winery as liaison with product vendors and equipment suppliers to ensure system malfunctions and product failures are resolved in timely and efficient manner.
Responsible for ensuring that the inspection, testing and repairing of PLC driven equipment throughout the winery is completed as required by established schedules or need.
Ensures safe work practices and adheres to all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to, timely and accurate reporting of all work-related injuries and illnesses, promoting safety awareness to co-workers, advising the supervisors of any unsafe acts and conditions.
Assists Central Coast Operations with special projects and equipment trials as assigned.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED with 8-10 Years of Experience Required
Knowledge of Cooling systems (Glycol Ammonia)
Forklift Certified
RETA certified (where applicable)
LOTO/Confined Space Certified
Valid CA Driver’s License
Good mechanical and spatial aptitude & all round technical
ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements:
Physical Requirements: The employee frequently is required to sit, talk or listen and drive long distances. The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending are required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery and noisy. Involves exposure to hazardous conditions. Irregular shifts, including graveyard, and long hours may be required, particularly during harvest.
Travel Required: Minimal
