Job Description:

Job Summary

Responsible for the design, development, and processing of implants and instruments under the direction of a project leader or manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

-Designing for manufacturability, inspectibility, and optimum cost -Generating prototype models to evaluate new design concepts -Coordinating product evaluation with surgeons -Generating comprehensive protocols for testing/analyzing the product -Generating design assurance documentation for the project

Expected Areas of Competence

-Familiarity with drafting standards and geometric differences and tolerancing -Active participation in development meetings with surgeons and key Zimmer Biomet personnel -Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups -Helping to identify customer requirements for a new product -Establishing a process method which meets performance and quality requirements

Education/Experience Requirements

Pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel Requirements

Up to 10%
