We believe that by establishing a solid foundation of knowledge, understanding and trust with each of our patients, we enrich their health and enhance their lives.We are currently seeking an experienced Associate Supervisor - LPN to join our dynamic team supporting Internal Medicine for our Chelmsford practice location of Atrius Health Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates.As directed in the Associate Supervisor role, supervises the daily support operations of a single clinical area. Performs various departmental tasks which may include patient and provider appointment scheduling, patient flow, clinical reception, area ambiance, and clinician support. Ensures that work unit meets performance standards and identifies and recommends solutions to operational barriers. Serves as local point person for department providers and staff. May assist with development, monitoring and management of department budgets. In Licensed practical nurse role, provides direct patient care, meeting both psychological and physical needs of the patients and families. Practices within scope of practice in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Administers medications and performs procedures in accordance with clinician orders and department/specialty/organizational policy, and procedures. Contributes to the continuity and quality of care of the patient while fostering the best interest and well-being of patients and their families. Identifies those situations requiring clinical judgment and decision making and escalates these issues to clinicians.EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSGraduate of a state-approved school of practical nursing. Associate's Degree preferred. Possesses a current license to practice as a practical nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Must maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.EXPERIENCERequires knowledge of medical support functions in an ambulatory care setting to include at least 3 years of clinical experience in an outpatient facility and minimum 1 year of nursing experience. Experience with an electronic medical records system required.SKILLSIn depth knowledge of specialty's area required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and medical professionals required. Sound judgment with the ability to work and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated leadership potential.
