Job Description:

The Field Engineering Intern support to the Field Engineering team functions including operational processes, and learning about the full scope of the the StructureCare team operation. The Field Engineering Intern role requires an individual with a major in engineering or related field, analytical skills and good time management.  The role also requires an individual with sound communication skills (both written and verbal).  


    Responsibilities



    • Utilize time management skills to help the field engineering team 

    • Participate in web meetings and conference calls to observe operations first hand

    • Field travel with Project Managers and light participation to understand scopes of projects

    • Handle operational processes as it relates to the Field Engineering functions

    • Observe project life cycle and the business development process with light participation

    • Shade a prospecting call with a team member

    • Assist with reports by gaining an understanding of reporting, repair pricing, proposal pricing and proposal development

    • Participate in one or more regional repair projects

    • Learn and understand the project set up process review, short form reporting, GPS Driven As-Built Mapping and Material Testing - Sealers

    • Gain knowledge in specification development and a repair material overview

       


      Opportunities for Resume Building

      • Tour various High facilities, which may include: High Concrete, High Steel, the Service Center

      Requirements



      • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major in Engineering or related field

      • Basic understanding of Microsoft applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

      • Required maturity and a high level of professionalism coupled with good interpersonal and communication skills

      • Attention to detail, flexibility and good communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential

      • This position reports to the Sr Director of Technical Services

      • You will work in a professional office environment. Your desk will be near a window with plenty of natural light

      • Travel required to job sites, special events or community involvement

      • You may be asked to participate in a case study or take an assessment
