Overview We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Aurora, CO to support our mission critical customer.
Designs and plans campus network communications systems.
Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Monitors network architecture for incidents and anomalies.
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
Evaluates and reports on campus communications network performance.
Troubleshoot and restore network services when escalated.
Hours of coverage are 5 am - 8 pm M-F
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline or equivalent.
6+ years of experience designing and implementing network components including switches, routers, firewalls, and cryptographic devices.
DoD 8570 approved IA certification such as Security+ with Continuing Education (CE) or CISSP.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Active Polygraph is strongly desired.
Experience and/or education in writing and verbal communication skills.
Strong working knowledge and experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, routing protocols, cloud and virtualization architecture, and Cisco Nexus Command Line Interface.
Cisco Certified Network or Design Professional (CCNP or CCDP) certification.
Solid understanding of various development life cycles such as the SDLC, ITIL, etc.
This position requires the candidate to already have a current TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph and to maintain the clearance.
