Job Description:

The role holder will support the development of premises business cases and financial analysis (including P&L and Cash) to support real estate, capital project, operations and procurement related initiatives. The process involves scenario planning, leveraging internal / external real estate intelligence and workplace management tools to evaluate a range of solutions. The role holder will design and manage recurring and ad-hoc reports, dashboards and analytics, to support strategy and ongoing operations across CRES functions. The role holder will need to manage multiple work streams and aggressive delivery dates while maintaining integrity and quality. With experience, may take on responsibility for specific portions of larger, more complex projects. Works as part of a team with supervision. Attention to detail and high level of client service are crucial.


* Preparing detailed financial analysis, including NPV cash flows

* Occasionally performing complex financial analyses (e.g., headquarters, master plans, etc.) with supervision

* Evaluating client building alternatives and lease options on qualitative and quantitative analysis


* Gathering and evaluating real estate market and property data

* Researching companies, landlords, and potential subtenants

* Conducting market calls, previewing space opportunities, developing fact sheets and tour books, and gathering photos and floor plans

* Managing and organizing real estate data and metrics

Client Interaction:

* Assisting in the preparation and update of reports, presentations, analyses, and on-line systems

* Working directly with clients and team members to resolve financial model, transaction and landlord issues

Other Transaction Support:

* Reviewing lease documents and writing lease summaries and abstracts, and reviewing other materials as part of the due diligence process

Professional Development:

* Developing an understanding of basic building systems, real estate, and lease terminology

* Becoming familiar with the lease negotiation process and lease issues

* Attending JLL-sponsored training sessions and endorsed external training sessions & seminars, and completing courses on Element K

* Obtain Real Estate Salesperson s license

Technical Skills:

* Strong analytical ability, both financial and qualitative

* Strong computer skills which may include use of: Internet SharePoint sites, Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook), Procalc, CoStar, and JLL Systems and databases

* Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills

* Basic understanding of real estate and lease terminology


* Well developed verbal and written communications skills

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

* Flexible; ability to work with a wide variety of client personalities and levels

* Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments

* Taking initiative as opportunities or problems arise; being action oriented

* Professionalism; taking responsibility for decisions, actions, and results

* Positive attitude with team and other analysts

* BA or BS degree with a record of high academic achievement

* At least 3 years of experience in Corporate Real Estate

* NY Real Estate Salesperson license preferred but not required
