POSITION SUMMARY: Provides security through daily surveillance of building and adjoining grounds for patients, employees and visitors. Adjusts communications specific to the age, developmental stage, and comprehension level of a population that spans adolescents to geriatrics (excluding newborns). Applies knowledge of cultural factors appropriately in communications and interactions of the population being served.

QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience / training in security operations preferred. Associate level degree (preferred), or equivalent experience, with an emphasis in safety, fire, EMS, or security management. One year of experience in a safety or security related field preferred. High school diploma or GED required. On the job training provided for routine maintenance rounds, i.e., checks of boiler room and penthouse equipment. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and basic computer literacy are essential.
