SIGINT Operations Analyst Support Technician

Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Technical Solutions division is a professional services organization providing mission-critical and practical solutions to a wide variety of government and commercial customers worldwide.  Our Columbia, MD office is currently seeking SIGINT Operations Analyst Support Technicians to support ongoing worldwide SIGINT operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison for failure analysis and troubleshooting coordination with SIGINT operations and field service personnel.

  • Provide real-time overall fleet health status of SIGINT Mission equipment.

  • Maintain Mission Status Log for DOD and other US Government entities.

  • Analyze processed COMINT, ELINT, and FISINT.

  • Review data in support of collection concept development.

  • Maintain awareness of community activities impacting assignments.

  • Utilize tools including GALE, BVI, MIST, FADE and STK to exploit data.

  • Independently write reports detailing methods, results, and impacts to assigned issues.

  • Perform queries and analysis using national databases.

  • Perform social network analysis using SIGINT data.

  • Perform signals analysis research and target development.

  • Produce geo-location data to support the development of various intelligence reports.

  • Train other members of the team on SIGINT fundamentals.

  • Create data products and support/develop associated systems which heavily utilize technically-derived data from multiple sources to include SIGINT, MASINT, IMINT, OSINT, and HUMINT

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a SIGINT/Intel Analyst, or similar operational experience.

  • Associate’s degree.Additional 2 years’ experience in lieu of degree.

  • Receptive to working irregular shifts, to include holidays and weekends.


  • Next Generation Wireless Certification

  • Raw signals processing, programming, or quantitative analysis experience

  • Military experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, statistics, engineering, or science


  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

  • All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements.
