The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is hiring a Lieutenant for our Charlotte Branch. This critical role pr otects and safeguards Bank operations, property and employees. Responsible for all shift personnel and duties during their designated shift. Assists management in the implementing of policies and procedures. Performs various duties of a Law Enforcement Officer to provide protection to the organization's employees, visitors, properties, and all items of value on Bank premises from any preventable harm or danger while under direct supervision. Has specialized training in metal detection, x-ray detection, access control systems and other specialized areas of security related equipment. Provides first aid, CPR, and Automatic External Defibrillation (AED) as needed.

Essential Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following)

  • Supervises law enforcement officers under their assigned team.

  • Coach & develop direct reports to maximize individual & team performance
    Responsible for preparing duty rosters, daily duty assignments and scheduling.

  • Accountable for the quality of work delivered by the team under their responsibility
    Assists Management with daily work assignments to ensure administrative and operational effectiveness

  • Protects and safeguards Bank operations, property and employees.

  • Supervises emergency operations when Senior Bank officials or senior law enforcement management is not available.

  • Controls vehicle and pedestrian access to building; receives the public, determines nature of business, and directs persons to appropriate destination.

  • Escorts individuals throughout the building when needed; examines packages coming into building; ensures all persons in Bank are properly displaying appropriate access badges.

  • Responds to emergency calls and routine complaints and disturbances and takes action as necessary.
