Job Description:

POSITION:  Customer Service Rep.                      FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

DEPARTMENT:  Inside Sales                                COMPANY: Freshpoint Central California

REPORTS TO:  Customer Service Manager        

 

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: 

Responsible for the receipt of customer produce and/or grocery orders by telephone, online, fax or e-mail and the accurate data entry into the computer system.  The answering of all incoming telephone calls.  Provide Customer Service to all current and future customers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Employee must pass a background check, pre-employment post offer drug screen

  • Must be able to communicate well with others. 

  • Pass the minimum hiring requirements

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks

  • Proficient in basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Education or experience to fulfill the essential functions and responsibilities with a minimum of 6 months customer service experience or equivalent experience.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 


  • Answering phones (Professionally, Courteously)

  • Computer knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Price Changes – if applicable

  • Customer specifications – know all customers and product specifications

  • Product knowledge

  • Push specialty items

  • Communicate markets, pricing, and availability of product to customers

  • Order guides, faxing, and any other customer related requests

  • The eyes and ears of our customers, communicate customers wants and needs

  • A positive, courteous and professional manner will be maintained at all times. 

  • Other duties as assigned

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • Schedule will be Sundays -Thursday with Friday-Saturday off. (Shift times will vary)

  • Work overtime as required by department manager.

  • Works in the office, occasionally may go into the warehouse
