Role and Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, you play an important role with responsibilities that range from managing project tasks and prioritizes, analyzing client's issues/objectives to developing recommendations and authoring presentations. You will participate in both strategic advisory and transformation projects.
 
Responsibilities include:


  • Perform Gap Analysis on existing legacy systems / applications to assess the difference and document the requirements for the new systems / applications

  • Partners with Business to understand requirements/needs and implements programs and systems to continuously meet those needs

  • Proactively collaborates with Delivery Team and Business Partners in program delivery and other projects as assigned. Act as a single point of contact for clarifying requirements to the development and testing teams

  • Effective project management and expertise to drive projects and initiatives, demonstrating benefits of projects to the organization, and translating customer and business needs into technical requirements

  • Conduct Business Analysis; including: Interview clients, gather and document client requirements, map processes, conduct hypotheses based analysis, create business cases, evaluate and presenting solutions

  • Support the documentation of systems requirements specification in coordination with technical team and perform high level testing of business and functional requirement

  • Deliver outstanding client results, direct client personnel, prepare work plans, and facilitate client teams to implement recommendations


  • Help strengthen client's confidence in Cognizant and continuously enhance the relationship between Cognizant's and the client
     
    Basic Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile environment

  • BS/BA degree in Business/Finance/Management/Information Technology. Masters level degree is a plus. Solid Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access and Project

  • Experience with SQL and Data Management projects

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing technical concepts to all audiences

  • Practical experience in gathering client requirements, mapping processes, conducting hypotheses based analysis, creating business cases, evaluating and presenting solutions

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and manage multiple task assignments in a cross-cultural team supporting different time zones

  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence

  • Strong project management, presentation, and facilitation skills

  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Demonstrated ability to manage through ambiguity and competing priorities
