Henkels & McCoy, Inc., one of the largest privately held international utility contracting firms, with offices in 80 cities and celebrating 90 years of operating with a reputation as one of the most reliable and innovative firms in engineering and construction, is currently seeking a Project Manager I (Renewables) in Keyes, OK. This level is responsible for the overall direction, completion and financial outcome of a construction project(s). The number and complexity of projects and total cost distinguish its levels. Overall responsibility for contract compliance, financial success and customer satisfaction.
This position is expected to be available in September 2018.
Success Factors:
Develop understanding of the H&M Project Management Methodology within 90 days; ability to coach and teach others
Develop in-depth understanding of H&M's financial and project management systems, including the ability to run and analyze key reports; 6 months
Ability to evaluate project P6 CPM schedules and analyze for critical path and other issues; 90 days
Run project reports (Earned Value, etc) and analyze them to identify project issues; 90 days
Evaluate project P6 CPM schedule and analyze for critical path and other issues; 6 months
Major Elements:
Prepares project plan according to HM Project Management Methodology (PMM)
Ensures all team members perform work in a safe manner and models safe work practices
Participates in and performs safety audits; In addition to ensuring housekeeping, storage and work practices are adhered to
Accountable for overall Project performance (scope, safety, quality, schedule, and cost)
Acts as the single point of contact between Henkels & McCoy and the customers, regarding Project activities
Manages Project costs, including development of recovery plans to stay within budget limits
Tracks the invoicing and receipt of all customer payments, forecasts and cash flow for projects
Reviews and updates financial forecast monthly or as needed
Reports project performance data as required, to management and customers
Organizes project documentation
Develop, optimize and update project schedules for multiple, simultaneous large projects using Primavera, P6
Accept project assignments for long periods of time (3 - 6 months) through the project's lifecycle
Qualification:
3-6 years of experience in field project capacity; must have a four-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field experience
100% travel
Underground & Utility construction a plus
Experience with Primavera Scheduling Software and Microsoft Project is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel)
Must possess sound written and oral communications skills
