The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Program Manager, Intrastate Agency Prescription Drug Overdose Project, in the Division of Health Protection and Safety. We are looking for a professional who will oversee the partnership, development of social services and community agencies, correctional institutions, rehabilitative within programs that are designed to protect and promote the social welfare of individuals at the risk of opiate addiction and PDO.   • Develops, cultivates and maintains strategic partnerships among advocacy, nonprofit and private sector in order to create better outcomes for Georgia's PDO at risk population.

  • Identifies and brokers innovative partnerships and strategic collaborations to encourage programs or policy reforms that align with the priorities of government agencies and NGO.

  • Works collaboratively with advocacy and nonprofits to plan, develop, and advance those initiatives that both the state and the philanthropic community agree upon and have the most potential to support the health and well-being of at risk population.

  • Serves as a conduit for ongoing communication from advocacy and the nonprofit sector to DPH and DBHDD and vice-versa to aid mutual understanding, address shared concerns, and strengthen the DPH and DBHDD -advocacy relationship.

  • Identify and work with similar local and federal efforts across the nation.

  • Monitors and tracks the effectiveness of key partnerships.

  • Analyzes research, emerging issues, policy interventions and innovations to cultivate collaboration opportunities.

This position is a time limited position, three (3) years max.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of experience managing professional level staff OR Eight years of related professional experience AND Four years managing at the level equivalent to area of assignment OR Four years of experience required at the lower level Mgr 2, Business Ops (GSM011) or position equivalent. Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
