Job Profile Summary

The Agreement Associate is responsible for negotiating research contracts, including basic and clinical research agreements, clinical trial agreements, material transfer agreements, data use agreements, nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements and federal and non-profit subcontracts. This position reports to the Clinical Research Attorney.

The Agreement Associate is responsible for negotiating research contracts, including basic and clinical research agreements, clinical trial agreements, material transfer agreements, data use agreements, nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements and federal and non-profit subcontracts. This position reports to the Clinical Research Attorney.

Bachelor's Degree required.

Juris Doctor from an accredited institution required.

Admission to a State bar is preferred.

Professional experience, business acumen, judgment and integrity to effectively advise Investigators and their staff and to protect the Hospital’s interests.

Some experience negotiating research contracts is preferred.

Skills in dealing with others in work relationships, including conflict resolution.

Ability to make difficult decisions.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated experience in utilizing a contract management system and/or clinical trial management system preferred.

Ability to work efficiently and effectively under deadline pressures.

Ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong customer service orientation.
