Job Description: Description: The position has an emphasis in valuation of business for partnerships, acquisition or ventures, including modeling and coordination with outside advisers, and a heavy emphasis on financing arrangements for renewable energy and environmental sustainability, asset financing, tax credit financing and ad hoc programs. Functions as a key project manager for corporate finance.
Works on significant and unique assignments of diverse scope.
Generally performs within broadly or undefined practices and guidelines, and routinely modifies or suggests enhancements.
Requires more complex planning and direction setting with diverse and multiple stakeholders.
Determines scope, objectives, and procedures to performed for each assignment, without direction.
Leads the prep/updating of regular analytic and accounting, as well as tools and techniques of analysis, which requires identifying established and uncommon concepts and unique trends.
Prepares projections for corporate financial planning and presents reconciled accrual statements for Controllers.
Ensures financial transactions have adequate controls and processes are fully documented.
Maintains a high level of knowledge of current professional area of expertise and provides research and initiative in introducing new and improved processes and reports, within broadly defined policies/procedures.
Develops and maintains good working relationships with management, so as to best coordinate across functional lines. Networks and participates in industry-related and/or professional associations.
Assists in SOX compliance and policies and procedures.
Addresses opportunities for process improvements and influencing.
Basic Qualifications: Experience
Minimum ten (10) years of Treasury or related business experience. Education
Bachelor's degree in finance or related field, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration
Advanced knowledge of treasury policies, practices and systems.
Applies advanced principles and theories to develop advanced techniques, concepts and standards.
Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories. Contributes to the development of innovative treasury principles and ideas.
Viewed as functional expert in field within KP.
Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Graduate degree in business, finance or public administration.
Depending on area, accounting and insurance a plus.
Strong communications skills
For certain treasury functions, certification in specialized functions preferred (eg, ARM, CPA, CPUC).
