Job Title: Instructional Designer
Position Summary: As part of the Sales Enablement Team, the Instructional Designer will be responsible for strategizing and creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances the knowledge of the sales organization to increase job performance and retention.
Design, develop and implement quality training solutions that support the business objectives and associate development
Conduct sales training needs assessments and integrate training and activities to address gaps
Be proactive in solutions
Create eLearning storyboards and live training materials (workshops, workbooks, facilitator and learner guides) using solid instructional design methodology and adult learning theory
Drive and assess content presentation and design approaches based on project requirements and technical specifications. Provide suggestions and alternative solutions to drive best possible product.
Collaborate to provide solutions with subject matter experts and development leads to ensure that program content, learning objectives and delivery modes meet the sales organizations needs
Continually evaluate course content for relevance and effectiveness
Work with the training team on feedback from participants and post-training performance results
Maintain and grow knowledge of the training industry, including new methodologies for learner behavior change including blended approaches of eLearning, Instructor Led and Virtual Training
Maintain and grow knowledge of the Company and our marketplace to better support the business
Education & Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in the fields of Instructional Design or related fields (Technical Writing, Educational Psychology, etc) or equivalent practical experience
Experience / Skills and Competencies:
3+ years experience designing, developing and testing e-learning content
2+ years experience writing and designing sales training materials, either product or soft skills; preferably for a B2B sales organization
Working knowledge of web development tools, authoring tools, e-learning technologies/platforms and publishing tools
Experience with e-learning frameworks such as Adaptive Learning, ADDIE, CCAF or other learning development approaches
Experience in writing scripts/interview guides for video, editing video and creative design
Ability to apply instructional design protocols and adult learning principles in the design and development of blended learning approaches and solutions.
