The Environmental Services Technician II is a member of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for performing various Housekeeping/Janitorial services and departmental functions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures in assigned patient and non-patient areas which include; cleaning patient occupied rooms and performing terminal cleaning after discharge, as well as offices and ancillary areas, must maintain level of cleanliness, both from appearance and infection control standpoint. Other job duties include; snow removal, transportation of waste to designated areas, cleaning of assigned project areas, ability to use automatic cleaning equipment, perform routine maintenance of equipment and adequately stock and monitor supplies. Ability to work in a health care environment and be sensitive to patient needs, maintain confidentiality and respect patients, visitors and co-workers.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent, supported by understanding/following directives, and adequate reading and writing ability. EXPERIENCE: One year experience or similar experience in a health care setting preferred.
