Senior Account Supervisor, Technology
Edelman New York is seeking a Senior Account Supervisor to join our Technology team. As part of our dynamic team, you’ll help manage a successful global, marquee Consumer Tech client and collaborate with some of Edelman’s most high-profile global tech leaders that span PR, social, creative, planning and research. If you’re a proven rock-star communications professional with experience leading a consumer technology brand or company, we want to hear from you.
As a SAS, you’ll:
Play a major role in the creation of communications plans and goals for a leading consumer technology company
Oversee operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, deadline and budget adherence
Supervise junior staff junior by motivating, coaching and consistently providing feedback
Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content
Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
Drive media relations including creating and driving outreach plans, media strategy, message development, management of events, coordination of media familiarization trips, effective pitching and training of spokespersons on speeches and presentations and growth of contact network
Serve as daily client contact and act as client lead when appropriate; address client issues thoughtfully and effectively
Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both traditional and social media outreach plans – any experience in consumer and commercial printing a plus
Have a spirit of innovation, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to take risks and be motivated by the mutual success of their clients and their career
At least five years of relevant experience in public relations
Be a guru in the consumer tech space and particularly interested in the evolution of printing – from the Instagram photos we print at home to the large-scale billboards and signs we see during the Olympics – and the power of personal computing systems for work and play.
Have a strong background in all things product PR from leading innovative product launches; managing top-tier tradeshows and events like CES, MWC and Coachella; identifying and recommending interesting influencers and celebrity partners for integrated communications programs, and developing interesting programs and storylines to resonate with top-tier tech, consumer tech and lifestyle outlets.
Ideally, you should also have experience in digital communications and community management, specifically when it comes to managing social content for C-Suite or top-tier executives.
You should have a long-standing track record of developing and executing successful media relations programs with an agency or as an industry practitioner and be able to lead day-to-day requests autonomously.
