The Library is critical the University's learning and research mission and endeavors to create physical and virtual environments that promote discovery of new knowledge and the transfer of existing knowledge. The Library fulfills this mission by providing organized access to a diverse array of quality print, electronic, and other resources and by continuously improving the effectiveness of its instructional and research services.



Nature & Purpose of Position: The IT Technician work involves the repair and maintenance of complex hardware and software systems and poster printing. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Software system troubleshooting (Adobe, MS Office, MS Windows primarily),


• Troubleshooting basic network/wifi connections,


• Hardware and hardware component troubleshooting,


• Large format printer and scanning troubleshooting,


• Troubleshooting unique library technology,


• Printing large posters,


• Customer service

Other Requirements for the Position: Students must be enrolled at least 6 hours per long semester to be eligible for employment. Graphic design experience is also welcome for this position. Training provided on the job for any additional knowledge needed. All positions require the ability to lift and move computers and other electronic equipment and large digital displays. Standard department hours of operation range from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work within this hourly range.
