Educational and Experience Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in related field. Five years of experience in marketing and/or communications, working with tools and technology such as student information systems, communication tools, or customer relationship management (CRM) tools or in a related field. Higher education experience preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.


Nature & Purpose of Position:

Plans, organizes, and directs the day-to-day operations of one or more programs within the Enrollment Marketing & Communications department with oversight of the Director. Performs highly complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning in the Enrollment Marketing & Communications department.


Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborates with the Director of Enrollment Marketing and Communications, the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) division, and other departments to develop, implement, and assess strategic marketing and communication plans that align with the University's brand guidelines and enrollment goals. Partners with external vendors to execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, digital advertising, social media, web, print, etc.) to attract and convert prospective students. Works closely with the Admissions team to identify recruitment priorities and tailor marketing strategies. Manages the use of marketing automation tools and customer relationship management (CRM) systems to deploy email campaigns and track metrics. Analyzes data and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize campaign performance and inform future strategies. Partners with faculty and academic departments to promote programs and initiatives. Develops goals, objectives, schedules, and priorities for the Enrollment marketing team, and actively leads the team to achieve stated goals. Develops, implements, enforces, and evaluates policies and procedures and oversees compliance. Directs and evaluates department staff and activities focusing on continuous improvement. Oversees the preparation of management and productivity reports and studies. Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations. Develops and reviews budget expenditures as needed. Makes decisions independently under the authority of direct leadership. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Other Specifications:

Responsibilities include research, content development, implementation, and performance analysis. Requires knowledge of CRM and communications platforms; experience with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud preferred. Graphic and web design knowledge and experience are preferred. May require professional contact with students, prospective students, parents, alumni, other state agencies and officials, junior and community college officials, and high schools and their officials. Requires knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, especially as they relate to marketing communications and opt-out requests.



Up to 60% of this position, over the fiscal year during off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
