MSA Safety in Jacksonville, North Carolina is seeking an energetic individual to join our team as an Assembler III in a manufacturing environment. This position will report the Production Supervisor. In this role you will be counted on to perform the following tasks:
Construct and fasten parts, sub-assemblies, and components by reading and comprehending written instructions to properly assemble products that meet company standards in a fast-paced work environment.
Operate various machinery such as hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
Utilize shop math to measure and cut materials as required.
Inspect products and verify quality specifications by measuring completed components.
Resolve assembly problems by adjusting dimensions or notifying a supervisor.
Ensure safety protocols are followed on the assembly line.
Will lean and understand production processes.
Ensure that all safety procedures are followed.
Ensure that all production goals are met.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to use basic and power tools.
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
High attention to detail.
Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
6 months of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
