What you will be doing:
The Sr. Director, Creative Excellence & Marketing Technology User Experience is a key leadership role in the Global Marketing COE. This lead team member joins peers including VP, Business Insights & Analytics and VP, Experience Planning, Media, and Digital Strategy to identify key enablers and priorities to support the portfolio strategy and growth ambitions and drive creative and content excellence. You will be accountable for leading a creative and content project management team, agency roster, agency performance assessments, content creation model/process and content calendar approach and briefing best practices and content syndication and asset management. Additionally, role will be accountable for partnering with brands and IT on technology enhancements, roadmap, and AI-driven use cases.
The Sr. Director/Creative Excellence & Marketing Technology User Experience will cultivate creative excellence in briefing, agency reviews and pitches and creative/content testing best practices. They will work with brands to ensure all creative assets and content to fulfill the full-funnel experience plan. The Creative Excellence lead is also accountable for overseeing relationships with the preferred roster of creative agencies and ensuring every asset produced is fit for purpose and platform delivering business expectations and creative efficiency improvements. As the leader in this pivotal role, you will fuse user experience insights with creative excellence to ensure that all content deeply resonates with our users, driving engagement and brand loyalty.
Leading a team of 20+ subject matter experts across creative, graphic design, in-house content studio, project management, content syndication and asset management.
Accountable for assessing next-practice creative development tools (e.g., AI-generative solutions), creative collaborations and/or agency partnerships.
Identify and assess best-in-class agency partnerships for the organization (e.g., PDP/Retailer Content, UX/UI Design, Production Solutions).
Identifying business use cases for next-practice marketing technologies (e.g., digital commerce, website UX, AI-driven creative, etc.).
Developing, tracking, and ensuring adoption of the right metrics for creative effectiveness measurement.
Creating playbooks, training programs and workshops for educating the marketing department on digital marketing technologies and creative best practices.
Creating and propagating a 'common language' for assessing creative excellence and quality throughout the organization.
Partner with IT on marketing technology roadmap and key needs to boost user engagement and experience across owned properties.
Identification of software/technology capabilities (e.g., PXM, DAM, etc.).
Serve as consultant on content development thought leadership for the global organization, inclusive of retailer content needs.
Spearhead the adoption and optimization of cutting-edge marketing technologies, such as personalized marketing platforms and content management systems, to deliver tailored and impactful user experiences.
Responsible for defining and achieving creative excellence metrics that are tightly linked to user experience outcomes, such as increased engagement rates, higher user satisfaction scores, and enhanced interaction depth.
Collaborate with leaders in Business Insights & Analytics, Experience Planning, Digital Strategy, and Category Leads to embed consumer experience into the DNA of our creative processes, ensuring that every piece of content both creates visual impact and is highly functional, fit for purpose for channel delivery.
Ensure creative assets meet successful key performance indicators, both short and long-term efficiency metrics and improve year over year return on investment metrics as measured by market mix modeling.
Lead creative training including bringing in platform partners (e.g., Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Amazon) for brands and agency partners.
Assesses and develop POV for internal vs. external content development model.
Participates with brands on briefing processes ensuring creative briefs and content development meets needs of Experience Plan content framework.
Stays abreast of emerging marketing technologies to identify test and learn opportunities across the portfolio to drive enhanced content and/or user experience on brand.com.
Develop best practice guardrails for DTC user experience specific to content (e.g., videos, ratings and reviews, testimonials, etc. ).
Oversee the syndication of retail media content and ensure content scores are optimized for retailer.com.
Skills needed to be successful in this role:
Proven leadership and competence across managing creative development, directing creative agencies of record, and leading in-house content development.
Ability to align resources, prioritize, and meet deadlines in fast paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree.
12+ years of professional experience with relevant consumer insight background.
Demonstrated experience in successfully leading partner relationships.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
In New York City, the standard base pay range for this role is $ 164,258.55 - $ 246,387.82 annually. This base pay range is specific to New York City and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
