About the Position



We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing Energy team in either of the following offices: Tampa, FL; Peachtree Corners, GA; The Woodlands, TX: Denver, CO. The Business Development Manager will be dedicated to advancing the power sector with innovative solutions in substations, transmission, power generation, and renewable energies like solar, BESS, and wind projects. We thrive on pushing boundaries and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. You will engage with key clients across the United States, working on projects that span multiple markets and geographies. Key Responsibilities


  • Identify and Develop Opportunities - Search for new business opportunities within power sectors, focusing on substations, transmission, power generation, and renewables (solar, wind, BESS).

  • Client Relationship Management - Build and maintain relationships with key clients, aligning our services with their project goals.

  • Strategic Business Development - Lead sales forecasting and strategic planning for power engineering projects.

  • CRM Management - Utilize CRM tools for tracking sales opportunities, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with cross-functional teams to deliver client-centric solutions that meet industry standards. Coordination with the Engineering and project team leads to ensure they are up to date on the capabilities.

  • Industry Insight - Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and the competitive landscape in power delivery and renewable energy sectors.


Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in business development within power engineering & design, covering substations, transmission, power generation, and renewable energy projects.

  • Experience in planning, designing, and developing power delivery infrastructure.

  • Proven success in sales forecasting, CRM management, and client relationship building.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive approach and passion for driving innovation in power delivery and renewable energy solutions.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for client visits, industry events, and other business development activities.

Additional Information


Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Business Development Manager with a salary range of $100,800.00 - $159,800.00 .
