In this strategic role you will be responsible for the management of inventory control processes in MDT Distribution Operation. You will s erve as an expert for supply chain logistics in the areas of inventory accuracy, trends, root-cause analysis and reporting. Manages all inventory processes, validations, reconciliations, self-audit schedules and internal training . This p osi tion will develop self-audit schedules and train the management staff on timely com pletio n of audits. Maintain effective relationships with Business unit supply chain and Customer service operations to insure effective fulfillment of customer orders. Support management of Medtronic's relationship s to ensure accurate a nd on-ti me shipment of Medtronic products .

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides direction, leadership and coaching to distribution staff regarding tasks, projects and operations

  • Ensures ongoing operations, processes and programs are completed on schedule and within budget

  • Interprets and executes policies and procedures that affect Medtronic staff

  • Manage cycle counting functions on third shift and ensure counts are completed on time.

  • Maintains relationship with c ustomer operations and the b usiness unit planners to understand their requirements

  • Manages continuous improvement projects/ initiatives related to distribution activities

  • Tracks company projects, volume, etc., to ensure operation is positioned to meet future challenges

  • Budgetary Control: Develop and adhere to spending projects, and Annual Operating Plan . Ensure compliance to approved budgetary values . Reduce cost of operational expenses when possible.

  • Responsible for providing an environment that ensures safe storage, handling and control of all inventories

  • Create a safe work environment that fosters continual improvements in the cost of operations and quality of service to our c ustomer

  • Empowers team to perform operational responsibilities . Maintains focus on team morale and change management . Develops and maintains appropriate client relationships at all levels to include internal departments to maintain high service level standards with our internal and external customers

  • Recommends and implements, new technologies , quality standards, and procedures to impact vision

  • Invests time and resources in employee development

  • Works cross functionally with peers to develop consistent practices related to staff development, performance and cost management . Knowledgeable about department and industry best practices . Utilize quality and performance metrics to ensure regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a high-volume distribution warehouse, or manufacturing operation.

  • Previous experience supervising a team.

  • Ability to develop effective methods for tracking and monitoring data.

  • Ability to Analyze data.

  • Managed inventory cycle counts.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations applicable to the Stated operating in.

  • Systems knowledge: Microsoft applications, knowledge of warehouse management software and/or SAP experience.

  • Self motivated, and can work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to supervise and coach timely and effectively.

Required Knowledge and Experience:


  • Required high school diploma, or equivalent.

  • 1+ years of experience in a high-volume distribution warehouse, or manufacturing operation.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$61,600.00 - $92,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
