Job Duties:
Supervises, motivates, and provides ongoing daily direction to production personnel department of 13-25 persons; provides corrective action as necessary to enforce all policies and procedures.
Shuts down production line when necessary.
Prepares start-up procedures, properly sets up equipment, checks production schedule, sets production codes, and examines product for daily run.
Ensures proper raw materials are available for product runs.
Supervises flavor changes and hook-ups for correct flavor changes; changes tanks and switches lines and codes; monitors quality control of water and temperatures.
Tracks key performance indicators and costs, anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of financial targets.
Learns proper operation of all production line equipment; relieves employees, as needed.
Communicates with team members about the status of production lines.
Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Understands and follows PQI standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree preferred.
Three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or related field required.
Must also have OSHA and production standards experience.
Must demonstrate attention to detail, organization, prioritization, problem solving and communication skills. Computer proficiency, numerical aptitude, accounting and P&L spreadsheet experience is also required.
Must be able to supervise and provide training to direct reports.
Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
Must have accurate recordkeeping skills.
Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
Physical Requirements:
Constantly (67%-100%) required to walk and stand.
Frequently (34%-66%) required to sit for extended periods of time while inputting data on a computer.
Occasionally (0%-33%) required to climb, lift and/or move up to forty (40) pounds.
The plant facility is not air-conditioned and there will be exposure to loud machinery.
