Job Description Summary
The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is seeking a Business Administrator B to manage financial matters including: budget monitoring and management financial forecasting, payroll distribution and reallocation, and payables and receivables. The ideal incumbent will have experience with BEN Financials applications, to prepare financial reports, reconcile monthly transactions, and ensure financial integrity for aspects of the department. The Business Administrator B will report to the director of finance, with additional reporting relationships to the division administrator, and department COO. This position will work closely with the grants manager to process and reconcile all grant-related transactions such as journal and budget entries, and BEN deposits.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 2-3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in a University Business/Financial office environment is required. Documented experience with Penn's systems (BEN, Workday) as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and Business Objects a plus. The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate with faculty and staff; demonstrate a pro-active work style with strong follow-up skills; be able to work under pressure; possess strong attention to detail; have effective interpersonal skills and be able to enforce guidelines and protocols with constituents in a diplomatic manner; be able to switch gears depending on processing and/or project deadlines, be able to work independently as well as collaboratively and remain flexible in order to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
