Job Summary/Basic Function:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
  • Perform work of custodian and set up schedules and assign work as required; fill in for absent or vacationing personnel in lead. (40%)
  • Assist in the training of custodial personnel. (10%)
  • Responsible for all equipment and materials used by custodian including making out monthly supply orders. (10%)
  • Test new products and when appropriate, recommend changes. (5%)
  • Keep abreast of all safety measures in the buildings assigned to lead. (10%)
  • Monitor the quality of work in the assigned buildings and amongst the workers. (5%)
  • Assist Custodial Supervisor in evaluations of custodial personnel. (5%)

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: (15%)
  • Review and total weekly time cards.
  • Issue job orders for repairs in the assigned buildings.
  • May transport materials upon supervisor request.
  • Perform related assignments as requested by the custodial supervisor.

The starting hourly rate for this position is $20/hour.
