We are currently looking for a full-time – HR Payroll Administrator

At TASC, we're looking for a detail-oriented and organized HR Payroll Specialist to join our HR team. This role is crucial, as it will be responsible for HRIS updates, benefits administration, payroll processing, and supporting various HR functions. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of HR principles and practices.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll transactions accurately and timely, including verifying timekeeping records and deductions.
  • Manage and update HRIS database records and ensure the accuracy of employee data.
  • Administers payroll processes, including health and welfare plans, enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Prepare and analyze various HR reports, such as headcount, turnover, and payroll summaries.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding activities, including conducting orientations and processing documentation.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members to implement HR policies and procedures effectively.
  • Assist employees with payroll and benefits inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate recordkeeping and proper deductions.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Reconciles benefits statements every month.
  • Audits payroll, benefits, or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
  • Prepare and maintain regular merit increase reports to ensure compliance and track progress effectively.
  • Manages internal records, including preparing, issuing, and filing company documentation (e.g., sick leave, FMLA, etc.).
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR Payroll Specialist or in a similar role with a concentration in HRIS updates and benefits administration.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing (payroll tax a plus).
  • Proficient in HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.


Education/Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll is preferred.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
