Job Title: Strategic Account Manager (SAM)
Location: Southwest
Position Summary:
The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for driving significant growth in select, high-potential accounts. The SAM will partner with Account Managers within the Area to support growth of their identified Strategic Accounts. The SAM will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive business assessment for the practice (or group of practices), identifying opportunities for Alastin growth, and developing a S.M.A.R.T. (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-bound) action plan for growth. Strategic Accounts will be determined based on specific criteria, to include a commitment to partnering with Alastin and a validated opportunity for product, provider and/or location expansion. The SAM will report to the Sr. Director, Strategic Accounts and will provide mentoring to the Regional teams as it pertains to developing and growing retail profit centers, maximizing marketing strategies, and optimizing patient experience. within specific practices based on analyzing reports, ROI, etc.
Responsibilities:
Conduct business assessment and build strategic growth plan for designated Strategic Accounts for accelerated growth. Partner with local Account Manager to develop forecast targets, initiatives to drive growth and reports to monitor progress of these accounts
Establish and apply business building principles on best practices related to successful revenue generating approaches and pull through strategies, office promotions etc. The SAM will conduct Account Business Reviews after thorough account analysis from account reports with each specified account and ensure AMs on the team are effective in presenting ABRs as well. The SAM will serve as lead on approaches that foster patient loyalty and an excellent patient experience within the practices they cover. Partner with the AMs to apply strategic account management principles to enhance the relationship with each office
Develop action plan, applying S.M.A.R.T. principles, to include education on the science, messaging, social media, provide selling skills for office staff, incentives and general best practices
Participate in regular SAM Success team calls to collaborate with the SAM team along with the Training and Education and Marketing teams
Align business decisions with strategic goals by demonstrating knowledge of market, competition and profitability
Establish travel itinerary (quarterly) with Executive Area Director or Regional Director based on area/territory priorities and T&E budget
Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements
Requirements:
BA/BS degree required or equivalent years of experience
5 or more years Aesthetic sales experience
Proven expertise in integrating medical and retail in a practice
Effective coaching, training and development skills
Effective goal setting, planning and communication, relationship-building, and strong problem-solving skills
Strong analytical skills with ability to utilize Excel and PowerPoint when needed
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and get others to buy in to specific goals and strategies in a fast placed, demanding environment
Self-reliant with the ability to make solid business decisions
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position needs to occasionally stoop, bend, and kneel
Frequently moves materials weighing up to 50lbs for account and event needs
Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
Must be able to travel 30-40% of the time
