As a QA/QC Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of Class VI injection well construction and the subsequent monitoring processes for our CCUS projects. Your expertise in well design, construction, and regulatory standards will ensure the highest levels of quality and safety in our operations.Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering discipline (Drilling, Production, Completion).
Minimum 5+ years of previous experience as a Drilling & Completions and/or production/injection operations QA/QC Engineer.
Familiar with 40 CFR Subpart UU - Injection of Carbon Dioxide - Monitoring and QA/QC requirements.
Certified ISO 9001:2015.
Formal training in DS1 or NS2.
Familiarity with the requirements in API 4G, 5CT, 6A, 7L, 7G-2, 8B, 16A, and 53.
Previous certification in NDT methods (UT, MPI, PT preferred).
Formal training in root cause investigation (preferred).
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with carbon capture and storage projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
Advanced knowledge of CO2 behavior, geological sequestration, and reservoir management.

Quality Assurance and Control
Implement and oversee rigorous QA/QC protocols throughout the construction and operation of Class VI injection wells. Ensure all project phases meet or exceed environmental and safety standards as per EPA and other relevant regulations.
Testing and Validation
Coordinate and interpret the results of mechanical integrity tests, cement bond logs, and other diagnostic tools to assess well integrity. Validate the quality of materials and workmanship.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of construction and testing phases. Prepare detailed reports on QA/QC activities and outcomes for internal and regulatory bodies.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for process improvements in well construction and monitoring techniques. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure transparent communication and compliance with all project requirements. -Training and Supervision**: Provide technical guidance and training to field personnel on QA/QC practices and compliance issues.
Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight:
Report to CCS Leadership Team on QMS performance, identifying areas for improvement and promoting quality awareness.
Develop and implement the Company's Quality Assurance Program.
Ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan during equipment manufacturing phases.
Provide oversight of Contractors' QMS implementation.
Educate Wells & CO2 Operations Team personnel on Quality Management System requirements.
Conduct product and process audits according to ISO 9001:2015 standards for Contractors.
Implement and manage the Non-Compliance Reporting (NCR) system.
Manage material certification documentation for locally purchased goods.
Equipment Inspection and Maintenance:
Oversee local manufacturing and repairs.
Coordinate pre-job service tool and equipment preparations, including disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, pressure testing, and function testing.
Ensure proper procedures are followed (e.g., quality plans).
Carry out Rig Inspections in accordance with industry practices.
Coordinate Equipment Failure Investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
Verify and accept/reject all damaged equipment sent back from rig & injection operations.
