Packaging Engineering Consultant


Compli LLC is a full-service regulatory compliance consulting services company specializing in pharma and biotech as well as food and beverage, chemical, and discrete manufacturing industries. We are seeking an experienced packaging engineering consultant to join our growing technical staff.


Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will assist our clients across the United States in providing innovative packaging engineering solutions. Position responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing the needs of the product and the user to determine packaging requirements.
  • Designing packaging materials that meet those needs, taking into account factors such as product safety, cost efficiency, and environmental impact.
  • Testing packaging to ensure it can withstand various conditions, such as temperature changes, transportation, and storage.
  • Working closely with product development teams to understand the product specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to source the materials needed for packaging designs.
  • Staying current with the latest packaging trends and technologies and incorporating them into designs when appropriate.
  • Developing prototypes and conducting tests to assess the functionality.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, and quality control.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in packaging solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with drug regulatory bodies and environmental compliance regulations
  • Work independently or as part of a team in supporting all phases of our client•s packaging improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with client and industry partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Leverage professional network to generate new opportunities through quality delivery and technical excellence.
  • Establish credibility through thought leadership (technical papers, industry publications, digital media, etc.) and participation in industry associations, conferences, etc.
  • Support efforts to increase the firm's market share for consulting services in the chosen area(s) of focus by identifying additional projects and clients.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:


In order to successfully support our clients packaging improvement engagements, it is required for the packaging engineering consultant to possess the following qualifications and/or experience:
  • Possess a minimum of ten years performing packaging engineering services.
  • Holds a bachelor•s degree in engineering, business, or related field from an accredited curriculum.
  • Holds at least one industry certification or certificate such as: CPP, CP, PEC
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills • written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Proven strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be thorough and detail oriented.
  • Is a good team-player with strong facilitation skills.
  • Possesses excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Has a good work ethic and treats documents with confidentiality.
  • Proficient in all MS Office software and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • All candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 90% within the U.S.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Has a minimum of five years of direct, end-user Pharmaceutical/ Bio-Tech or Food and Beverage, Chemical or discrete Manufacturing packaging experience.
  • Has past and current participation in industry associations or technical groups.
