A Day in the Life

Medtronic Affera is looking for an experienced Calibration Technician IV to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement and test equipment used in the manufacturing of our innovative medical devices. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of precision measurement and test equipment.

  • Develop, implement, and improve calibration procedures and protocols to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements, including ISO and FDA guidelines.

  • Document calibration results meticulously and maintain accurate records in accordance with industry regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and support for equipment and calibration needs.

  • Lead training initiatives for junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices in calibration processes.

  • Participate in audits and inspections, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the calibration lab.

Qualifications

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent AND

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in calibration or a related technical field

Nice to Have

  • Strong knowledge of calibration standards (e.g., ISO 17025) and measurement principles.

  • Proficiency in calibration equipment, software, and tools, with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Experience with electronic, mechanical, and optical calibration techniques.

  • Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory compliance in the medical device sector.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$68,800.00 - $103,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
