UC Health is hiring a Part-Time License Practical Nurse (LPN IV) for the Acute Care Medicine 8 Northwest unit for the Day Shift at UC Medical Center.
The Acute Care Medicine Nurse will support the Medical Centers medicine and Level 1 Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures. Between our 3 rd and 4 th floor, there is a total of 52 beds with ratios ranging from 4 to 6 patients per nurse. Majority of patients are transferred from the Emergency Departments and occasionally lateral transfers from the main hospital that need an extended hospital stay.

LPN (IV) will have successfully completed a Board approved basic intravenous therapy course. The LPN, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), perform duties that require a basic knowledge of nursing principles and the ability to perform technical skills in carrying out nursing procedures that are culturally based and age specific.
