Primary Purpose The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost effective operation of natural gas underground storage, pipeline and compression facilities assigned to District 201 Operating Area. Specifically, this Operations Supervisor is responsible for the compressor stations, storage facilities and associated pipelines at Herscher, IL, Cropsey, IL and the Liberty pipeline located in Indiana. District 201 operates and maintains a total of 83,985 HP in compression, 250 well sites, 9 dehydration facilities, H2S treating facility, and over 330 miles of pipeline and gathering systems. Supervisor of 26 direct reports including two Crew Leads, four E&C Technicians, six Plant Operators, one District Welder and thirteen Operations Specialist. The Supervisor's reporting location will be at Compressor Station 201-Herscher, IL. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversee the planning and direction of all activities within the District
Manage all PHMSA and regulatory requirements and be prepared to represent the Company during any inspections or audits for the area of responsibility
Participate in the development of O&M procedures, site specific procedure, project scopes and work plans
Monitor and implement company procedures, standards and best practices
Responsible for safety program, environmental compliance, governmental compliance, employee training and development, facility security and personnel functions
Ensure that all requirements of the Operator Qualification Program are met for both contract and company employees
Identify report and correct safety and environmental concerns
Manage, plan and forecast the Capital and O&M Budgets for area of responsibility
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment, instrumentation, pumps, vessels, pipelines, compressors, auxiliary equipment, engines, turbines, motors, cooling equipment, valves, seals and other related equipment
Oversee construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties
Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism
Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully
Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance
Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees and the general public
Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory and Company tariff requirements

Position Requirements
Position Requirements - Minimum Requirements Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Experience/Specific Knowledge
Minimum seven (7) years working experience with mechanical and pipeline systems
Employee supervisory and asset management skills
Knowledge and experience in operation of natural gas underground storage, pipeline, measurement, pressure regulation and compressor station operations
Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high and low pressure systems
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers

Good computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems and other company software)
Good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)

Preferred Education, Experience, Certifications, Competencies, Skill & Abilities (above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position)
Degree in a technical field, additional technical education/training is a plus
Experience with developing and managing expense and capital budgets
Experience specific to supervising crews with underground storage, pipeline, compressor station and measurement station responsibilities highly desirable
Knowledge of natural gas engineering and operating procedures is helpful
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs and other diagrams useful
Knowledge of company policies, procedures and practices and regulatory and tariff requirement
Knowledge of DOT Part 192 is a plus
Physical Demands
Must be able to withstand extreme conditions; will work outside in all environmental conditions, platforms, ladders and walkways
Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds in awkward positions and 50 pounds from floor to waist
Working Conditions
Required to carry a company-provided cell phone and be available to respond during working hours and non-working hours as needed
Travel is sometimes required which could occasionally include out-of-town nights and weekend travel
The successful candidate must live within 30 miles from the work location
