Summary
This position is responsible in assisting the shift supervisor in the daily activities of clerks and tableworkers to include retrieval and control of components for the daily clerical functions including production tracking and maintenance of production records along with packaging and assembly of medical products. It is also responsible for maintaining productivity and efficiency of each production line, and provide as a backup to the shift supervisor.
Essential Responsibilities
• Manager and Shift Supervisor backup and assistance in the generation of monthly reports/metrics
• Supports the Shift Supervisor as backup for employee attendance, including FTE and Temporary employees.
• Initiates line changes, and ensure priorities are considered in scheduling
• Ability to run a production line and run data entry functions for releasing finished goods for back up support
• Training operations lead /coordinator for the department, including temporary employees
• Internal customer contacts for documentation requirements/resolutions
• Leads as an operations representative for team activities for process improvements
• Initiates change requests for SOP's
• Reprocessing supervision, when necessary
• Assurance to compliance
• Coordinate line changes and staffing
• Detailed oriented and accurate
• Other duties and overtime as necessary
• Lead and coordinator of 5S and lean initiatives, and process flow improvements
• Lead/coordinator for Behavior Based Quality (BBQ) initiatives
• Lead/coordinator for Safety initiatives.
• Attends training sessions as directed
• Support annual physical inventory
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

• Proficient in the use of a computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills.
• Mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, calculations of fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
• Strong interpersonal and professional skills required in the areas of verbal and written communications, customer focus, service to internal and external customers, training, influencing and team building.
• Detail oriented with adherence to Good Documentation Practices.
• Self-starter
• Goal oriented.
• Knowledge of measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer, tensile test equipment, etc.).
• Ability to keep confidential information.
Education and/or Experience
• High school education or equivalent.
• 2+ years in Production/Manufacturing
• 2+ years leadership experience preferred
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedures and government regulations. Have the ability to write routine reports and generate business correspondence. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, reports, regulations and memos. Ability to write reports and formal correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
The ability to resolve customer situations with supporting documentation while maintaining compliance to regulations and procedures.
Physical Demands
The responsibilities of this position will require the ability to sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms and lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required by this position.
Work Environment
This position primarily works in an office environment and may be exposed to a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.

JOB SUMMARY:
Working under limited supervision of the Supervisor, Manager or Director of Operations performs complex inspection tasks in accordance with policies and procedures to ensure quality levels at predetermined steps in the manufacturing process. Assists in the training of new inspectors as assigned by management. May be involved in the development of inspection techniques and equipment modification.
