About New Life Residential Treatment Center
Many of the girls arrive at New Life after experiencing severe abuse or neglect. These courageous young women are between the ages of 11-17, and they begin to grow and heal through in-depth clinical therapy, personal development activities and spiritual care in a safe setting.
What You'll Do
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Licensed Child Care (LCC) Administrator works in collaboration with the Operations Director to provide oversight and is responsible to the program for certification, compliance and licensure issues with regard to the State of Texas, DFPS, and CARF accreditation standards; to assist in carrying out the centers’ objectives to the care of each youth and participation in public relations; carries out administrative assignments within policies and by general directives from the COO. Performs related administrative and supervisory duties to insure efficient and effective operation of the center.

Work Standards
Ensures that all program services and activities meet Agency and licensing standards requirements; works collaboratively with the Operations Director in implementation and execution of required services
Under the direction of the COO, works collaboratively with the Operations Director, to ensure compliance issues regarding the licensure, certification, and accreditation (i.e., State of Texas, DFPS, CARF and other accrediting bodies such as and state agencies) are quickly corrected and implemented
Oversee timely responses to any inquiries, investigative requests, and communication from any state agencies, DFPS, HHSC, or other accrediting bodies
Research, identify and communicate current and updated contract and licensing standards and regulatory requirements that will impact the program’s operations and service delivery; ensure all policies, procedures, and practices follow established regulations and licensing standards

Decision Making
Assist the Operations Director in overseeing the program costs and expenditures and ensure they are in alignment with budget allowances set by the COO
Responsible for, in collaboration with the Operations Director, drafting and timely submission of any required administrative reviews and corrective action plans

Assists the COO and the Operations Director in chairing of standing operational, department and executive meetings
Partners with COO and Operations Director to negotiate contracts for care and treatment of members of such organizations as Preferred Provider organizations, Department of Family and Children Services, and the Juvenile Court Systems.
Build trusting relationships with campus management, staff, and youth by acting with integrity, courtesy, and responsibility even in the face of stress or demanding workplace conditions and situations
Work closely with leadership, colleagues and staff to ensure the program is operating effectively, efficiently and is meeting program goals, objectives, and priorities

Develops cooperative relationships with other health care facilities for exchange of information and services; and with professional organizations to participate in establishment of higher professional standards.
Support and maintain the established culture of support and collaboration among the youth and employees at the program and develop and implement strategies to reach and or exceed set employee retention goals
Partner with COO and Operations Director in maintaining optimal relationships with parents, referring professionals, agencies, and third-party payor sources

Developing and Encouraging Others
Coach and support staff to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources needed to optimize performance, ensure established program goals, and achieve operational excellence.
Communicate with direct reports in periodic one-on-one meetings
Organize and deliver regularly scheduled staff meetings to communicate present, on-going, and future updates of pertinent information, projects, and initiatives
Work closely with management team to interview, hire, and onboard new employees who are strong cultural fits for Upbring
Work in collaboration with leadership and the People and Culture Team to arrange training; when needed, coordinate and/or provide in-service training for staff development
Regularly review employee performance, including goals and progress, to provide developmental feedback: use applicable agency development tools to facilitate growth and development in staff
Draft and issue the 30-day, 60-day, 90-day, and annual evaluations, along with supporting documentation, as per established procedures; work in collaboration with staff to set goals during evaluation periods
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Public Health Administration, Business Administration, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Education, Nursing, or related field
Child Care Administrator’s License in good standing
Must have thorough knowledge of fundamentals of health care facility organization and administration, standards, and regulations applicable to facility operations. Must have knowledge of personnel or business administration, staff growth and development activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in a human services area, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Psychologist preferred
At least five years of direct clinical work with children and adolescents
At least five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory and administrative role in a human services environment required, experience in residential treatment preferred
