The Senior Data Analyst position is a highly skilled and motivated individual who will reside within the Automated Systems division finance department, reporting directly to the Strategy Manager. This role will interact with multiple facilities within the United States and Europe. The individual will need to have operational understanding of processes supported by business intelligence solutions, including manufacturing, warehousing, sales, service, and finance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data visualization software, programming data collection tools, and will be highly skilled in communicating. This role involves managing projects from concept, implementation, and validation of data by working closely with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making to enhance our business intelligence capabilities.
This position requires working knowledge of implementing application programming interfaces (APIs) and languages C#, Java, or Python. The candidate will also have strong knowledge of programing in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. The goal of the programming tools is to automate the data collection process from data source platforms, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and Jira. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with using and programming data visualization platforms such as Microsoft Power BI (Power Business Intelligence) and Tableau. Having experience with the Smartsheet platform and integrating data sources (via API, Event Reporting, and Bridge) is a definite plus.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain APIs to facilitate data integration and automation processes utilizing programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python
Design and implement data models and databases to support business needs
Create and manage reporting solutions using Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (Power BI) and Tableau
Develop and maintain SQL solutions in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
Develop and maintain Smartsheet platform data integration solutions (via API, Event Reporting, and Bridge) are a plus
Working knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
Collaborate with various departments to gather and understand data requirements
Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions
Provide technical expertise and support for ERP systems and their integration with other data sources via API and SQL
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all reporting and analytical processes
Continuously improve data collection and analysis processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Use excellent processes such as validation, documentation, and change management
Provide as required troubleshooting support
Train business stakeholders on the solutions and new functionalities
Project management skill set to document requirements, prioritize them with the business stakeholders, utilize and maintain scheduling, budget management, and use of Microsoft PowerPoint for reporting purposes to the business stakeholders
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a focus on data integration
Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with those at various organizational levels, including senior management
Execution of system validation, testing, and ownership of results required
Self-motivated individual with desire to succeed and grow within our high growth company
Functional understanding of business processes supported through ERP and how they work together
Functional understanding of business intelligence solutions within manufacturing, warehousing, sales, service, and finance
Team player able to work across cultures and functions seamlessly
Working knowledge of languages C#, Java, or Python for implementing API solutions
Knowledge and experience with SQL
Working knowledge of Data Warehousing
Smartsheet experience preferred
Jira and Salesforce knowledge preferred
Travel – as needed (up to 5% is expected)
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
4+ years of experience as a data analyst
2+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment
