Job Description
Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories PSS is searching for a biochemist to play a key role in development and optimization of technologies that complement our client's current ones. Responsibilities include performing standard molecular biology and biochemical techniques including PCR amplification, cloning, library construction, mutagenesis, sequence analysis, immunoassays, and binding kinetic determinations.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
• Standard molecular biology
• Biochemical techniques
• Antibody library construction
• Cell based assays and simultaneous maintenance of different cell lines
• Sequence analysis
• Work with a cross-disciplinary team for data analysis
• Independently execute experiments, analyze, interpret and present experimental data
• Experience in high throughput cloning, phage display or protein screening is a plus
• Further responsibilities include working collaboratively with other groups to achieve objectives and timelines. Excellent communication, planning, organizational and record keeping skills with an attention to detail are essential.
• Highly self-motivated individuals with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented setting in a fast-paced drug discovery environment are desired
Qualifications
Candidates should have a B.S. or M.S in biological sciences (immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or similar field) with 1-3 years of relevant academic or industrial experience.
• Strong skills in molecular biology techniques and/or biochemical assay development are required.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
• M.S. in biology, genetics, molecular and cellular immunology or a related biological area.
• FACS research technologies and analysis
• Experience in general cell culture, functional cell-based assays, or handling primary cells
• Experience with assessment of innate immune cell activation and/or antigen-specific immune response
