With support and direction from the MGH Cancer Center Administrative Director, this position provides collaborative project management in the Cancer Center Ambulatory clinics ensuring that productivity, service, and quality standards are met. This position is also responsible for overall project management of the Ragon Building Project for the Cancer Center.
This position will spend 50% effort working collaboratively with administrative leadership to develop and ensure new processes and workflows are implemented and followed and project manages various operational initiatives. In addition, 50% effort will be dedicated to project management for the Ragon Building project.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works collaboratively with the spectrum of role groups throughout the Cancer Center
Evaluates, develops, and implements operational systems and procedures designed to maximize the workflow throughout the Cancer Center
Prepares presentations for leadership meetings.
Facilitates interactions amongst his/her team and works to maintain good morale.
Evaluates and standardizes operating procedures and effectively troubleshoots and resolves issues as they arise. Informs staff of policy and procedure changes.
Trains and mentors staff on new processes
Manages meeting agenda preparation.
Leads meetings on a regular basis, ensuring there are opportunities for communication and feedback.
Manages simultaneous Cancer Center projects ensuring exceptional attention to detail and follow through.
Prepares various EPIC reports.
Troubleshoots operational issues and suggests solutions.
Performs other duties or special projects that are unit specific and are appropriate to this level of position.
Qualifications

Ability to capture the vision for the MGH Cancer Center and support it
Excellent project management skills: ability to manage multiple timelines and multi-task across projects
Ability to provide support, direction and development to staff.
Effective interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to identify issues/projects and initiates plans to address; demonstrates integrity.
Excellent problem solving, analytical and organization skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters discreetly and to ensure confidentiality guidelines are maintained by staff.
Competent with Microsoft Office products
Must be able to integrate input and interface with multiple stakeholders within the Cancer Center
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree required, master's degree in business, Health Policy, or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of healthcare experience preferred.
Experience and knowledge of EPIC, including reporting, preferred.
Project management experience required.
