Value Stream Manager - Industrial Products

The Stream Manager for Industrial Products is responsible for end to end supply of cocoa beans, roasting, and chocolate making. This senior leader position is a manager of managers and is accountable for safety, quality, cost and customer service for domestic and international demand for the full value stream organization. This manager is also on the site leadership team and is responsible for providing cultural leadership across the site working in unison with other site leaders in accordance with the site's compelling business need.

T his role is located in Elizabethtown, PA, a vital Mars Wrigley site that is co-located with our factory.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical related field and/or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience considered. Masters Degree preferred.


• Minimum of 7 years of M aintenance and/or Engineering Leadership experience in a CPG manufacturing environment. Food industry preferred.


• Minimum of 5 years successfully leading high-performing teams and people leadership.


• Advanced technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, controls and consumer products.


• Minimum of 5 years experience with using Lean tools and methodologies and TPM.


• Demonstrated ability to develop, communicate, and lead a broad, multi-layered team to deliver a continuous improvement strategy.


• Experienced supply leader that engages associates, drives for superior business results through teamwork and navigation of complex challenges.


• Practices breakthrough thinking, creativity and develops talent to build a high performing team.


• Leads and creates a culture that values safety, quality work, and continuous improvement

What will be your key responsibilities?

Conversion - Lead the efforts of operating teams of multiple lines or technologies within a Value Stream across multiple shifts in the efficient conversion of materials into quality products in a safe, secure and sanitary manner within the product design specifications and budgets.

V alue Stream Strategy - Develop a three year rolling strategy for the Value Stream. Partner with brand management to ensure the supply strategy for the site aligns with the aspirational growth and innovation strategy for the brand. Ensure inputs to the site strategic plan are effectively represented.

Food Safety and Product Quality - Assure the ongoing production of safe and defect free products consistent with the Quality Principle of Mars.

Mars Supply Excellence - Advocate and actively support the site operating system and continuous improvement programs to effectively deliver business objectives and effectiveness. Participate in Value Stream information flow and standard escalation processes. Proactively participate and coach direct reports and others in Value Stream. . Potentially lead and coach others in the implementation and execution of the MSE Pillars. As a part of the site leadership team, actively lead and participate in site's leadership pillar and contribute in the execution of the site's compelling business need and supporting strategies.

Change Agent - Recommend and implement changes in methods, equipment, systems and organization, as needed, to assure that the objectives of the area are met or exceeded.

Drive Associate engagement through a foundation of teamwork and individual accountability and development.

Goal Setting and Measurement - Work with site leadership team to establish short and long term goals for site. Align on appropriate activities to achieve those goals.
