Job Description:

State Street's Global Strategy team seeks to maximize the firm's long-term performance by identifying, evaluating, and addressing the company's most important strategic opportunities and challenges. The team is focused on providing strategic support and insight across State Street's diverse business lines to drive effective decision-making and action by senior management and the Board. As an Officer on the Global Strategy team, you will participate in complex strategy projects and business efforts across all State Street business lines.

This is a great opportunity for a graduating PDP to join a small, high-impact team with direct exposure to State Street's senior management and the firm's most important business issues. The position equips candidates with core strategy skills including problem-solving, leadership, influence, etc., while also offering an outstanding platform for professional development within State Street.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with members across levels on the Global Strategy team and senior managers across our business to identify and analyze key business issues

  • Develop frameworks to help business leaders structure their problems and form recommendations, and collaborate with colleagues in the group and across the organization to solve complex issues

  • Perform market and competitive research to provide solid foundational context for projects

  • Conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative analyses, participating actively in all phases of the project life cycle

  • Communicate recommendations to senior management through effective oral and written communication

  • Support Global Strategy team's leadership in facilitating State Street's annual strategic planning process, driving the development of the firm's long-term corporate strategy

Salary Range:
$65,000 - $102,500 Annual
