Become a key member of our plant leadership team at our Grandview facility where we produce some of the most beloved Smucker's products. Leverage your operational knowledge to help guide a high performance work organization, ensuring quality standards are met across the facility. Help to coach other engineering professionals, lead planning productions activities, and direct maintenance of plant equipment.
Location: Grandview, WA
Work Arrangements: 100% onsite M-F (flexibility to work additional hours during 4 week harvest season)
In this role you will:
Serve as primary administrator for plant control systems; is a key member of the plant technical leadership team.
Work with Plant Engineering, E&I coordinators and technicians to identify losses, and develop plans and strategies to eliminate them, in the areas of safety, quality, reliability and cost.
Maintain and improve electrical distribution system.
Work with Engineering IS team to maintain and update plant Historical database standards and accuracy (Oracle Proficy Historian), and other IT related functions.
Own and manage plant Capital budget; tracks Capital spending against budget and manage accordingly.
Develop the plant 5-Year Capital Plan; work includes establishment, maintenance, forecasting and reporting of Capital needs; work with Finance, Operations, and Consumer TSO to ensure plans align with the Plant and SBA Masterplans.
Lead the Initiative Management (IM) Pillar for the plant including implementation of IM tools and coaching/development of plant resources; support Company efforts in design and improvement of corporate project management systems including IM Pillar team efforts.
Manage Capital and Expense spending; ensure finance standards are being followed by project and start up leaders; ensure proper purchasing standards are followed during the execution of equipment specifications and requisitions; analyze spend trends and use date to improve systems.
Ensure successful project start-ups using IM tools including development of equipment standards & specifications; Factory Acceptance Testing protocol and Commissioning protocol; coach engineering resources and project startup leaders.
Participate in and provide technical feedback for new initiatives and product development; partner with R&D in new product development to ensure successful engineering and equipment selection to deliver required process transformations.
Manage the facilities department and systems ensuring proper maintenance of all facilities and maintaining property records for the site.
Lead the Grandview Sustainability Pillar on efforts to meet sustainability goals including energy, water, and waste reduction.
Compensation information:
Salary: $101,000 - $146,850
Annual Incentive Bonus: 12.5% target
Holiday Bonus: 2%

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering
5+ years of engineering experience
Experience leading or managing capital projects
Experience leading teams
Profit and loss experience
Strong organization and prioritization skills
Ability to work a flexible work schedule
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required):
Demonstrated experience in building a high-performance work culture and systems
Experience in one or more of the following technologies: process/making equipment, packaging equipment, process controls, electrical and/or controls engineering, facilities engineering
Advanced TPM, Lean, Six Sigma or other experience with the implementation of High Performing Work Systems
