Job Description:

Mechanical Designer

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer for our Huntersville, NC facility. In this role you will create technical drawings for an extensive variety of components used in various industries. The mechanical designer's responsibilities include working on drawings from inception to completion and collaborating with relevant stakeholders during the process as per project schedules. To be successful as a mechanical designer, you should be able to work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers, and analyze feedback from customers to produce or modify manufacturing systems. A top-notch mechanical designer will be an adept problem solver, have an excellent eye for design, and be willing to work in a team.

Your Responsibilities:

• The role of the CAD Designer is to produce high-quality, precise, and practical designs that meet project objectives and adhere to industry standards.
• Work closely with engineers and architects to ensure practicality and accuracy of designs
• Modify designs based on feedback from project stakeholders
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations
• Prepare and present design proposals to clients or project managers
• Document all design processes and maintain records
• Stay updated with latest design software and industry trends
• Working with computer aided design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks, to create drawing files to meet project requirements.
• Timely and accurate preparation of drawings for submittal to relevant internal, customer and other stakeholders.
• Providing support during the entire project timeline to ensure continuous progress on the project.
• Draft standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Maintain database systems in Excel

Your Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering technology, and/or recognized certification in a relevant field
• Experience in computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD
• 2+ years of working experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and an excellent understanding of mathematics
• Experience with Computer-Aided Design software, strong technical design skills, and a keen eye for detail
