The Role
Deckers Brands, a global leader in footwear and apparel, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director, Group Product Lifecycle . This pivotal role is integral to our agile transformation journey, focusing on optimizing innovation, sustainability, cost efficiency, customer experience (internal), scalability, lifecycle management, data cleanliness and governance, regulatory compliance, and streamlined processes throughout our product creation and development.
The Director, Group Product Lifecycle will be a strategic, results-driven leader with a deep commitment to product innovation, excellence, and growth. This newly created position will collaborate closely with executive leadership across all brands, as well as with supply chain, legal, and technology teams. The role encompasses overseeing strategic planning, development, adoption, and the business impact of Product Lifecycle solutions.
Key responsibilities include executive partnership, product management, team leadership, and customer engagement to ensure the efficient and innovative delivery of Product Lifecycle systems.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives and market opportunities
Develop and articulate a clear vision for the Product Lifecycle group in alignment with overarching business strategy. Identify market trends, customer needs, and new opportunities to enhance the product offerings.
Manage the product management budget and resources to achieve business objectives within scope.
Oversee the entire lifecycle of Product Lifecycle products, from conception and development to launch and continuous improvement.
Ensure the value propositions for Product Lifecycle products are clearly defined and communicated.
Work closely with other product groups and functional departments (such as sales, marketing, and customer service) to ensure product group alignment with company goals and customer expectations. Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business units.
Collaborate with senior leaders and technical teams impacted by Product Lifecycle to drive strategic alignment of product delivery with company goals as well as adoption by customers.
Prioritize the most impactful problems to solve to realize strategic outcomes, as well as shape the solution options for product and delivery teams to decompose strategy to execution.
Support and champion the Deckers approach to governance of global teams across multiple brands and geographies.
Lead and mentor a team of product managers and cross-functional teams. Foster a collaborative environment and encourage innovation and excellence in product development.
Lead product and delivery teams in how they collaborate and orchestrate with stakeholders, plan and monitor the execution of deliverables, craft adoption plans, and measure success.
Ensure the delivery of business outcomes and value through a technical understanding of Product Lifecycle systems, promoted and shared across the Product Lifecycle product group team
Define and monitor success criteria as well as both leading and lagging key performance indicators (KPIs). Regularly report progress to senior management and adjust strategies as needed.
Work to manage risk and remove impediments impacting product efficiencies through continuous product group improvement initiatives and partnership with cross functional teams and leadership.
Provide transparency and insights into capacity and skillset gaps across teams. Work with appropriate cross functional leaders to remediate.

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
