The E-Commerce Books and media agent is primarily responsible for the research and creation of online products from donated goods to be sold on the e-commerce auction-based website.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Research specialty items and assign correct values using multiple platforms and databases.
Use software to scan books to determine the value of books and other merchandise using Neatoscan database or live look-up.
Write clear and accurate detailed descriptions
Photograph items to department standards for aesthetic presentation and composition
Provide customer service via email and phone to ensure prompt, accurate and professional management of customer inquiries, including questions/concerns/issues about listed items, and correcting errors.
Achieve department production goals for listing items and average sales goals, as established by the E-Commerce Manager.
Attend and actively participate in all on-going training.
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure work areas are maintained, organized, clean and safe.
Assist in expanding the listing software by staying up to date on new functions, requesting additional apps and features, providing feedback, and attending any necessary webinars.
Actively participate in team-building exercises.
Assist in the training of new hires when necessary.
Attend monthly staff meetings and as scheduled 1 on 1's.
Have the motivation to cross-train in other areas of the department to increase job fluidity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Experience:
Computer, Internet, and Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
IPhone/IOS and/or Android experience required.
Thrift, Online and/or Auction-based sales or appraisal experience required.
Proficient in search engine use and basic computer skills.

Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs with or without assistance.
Must be able to work in a warehouse atmosphere and endure loud noises, dust, and the presence of large machinery.
