The Operations Group of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a Director to join our Process Excellence & Automation Team. This will be a key role with a deep understanding of P&C insurance operations, acting a process expert and trusted partner to business leaders in driving transformational change and continuous improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Develop and nurture strong partnerships with business leaders to understand issues and priorities, solve problems and improve processes to align with business needs and future state targets.
Organize and lead process improvement workshops with key stakeholders to map current processes, identify pain points and improvement opportunities, design future state processes, and create Action Plans.
Identify opportunities that increase customer value & service, improve user-experience, and eliminate waste.
Maintain a proficient understanding of leading Intelligent Process Automation tools (AI, RPA, etc.). Influence a culture of "automation first" mindset across the enterprise.
Work closely with IT and solution partners to determine ideal solution and feasibility, prioritize work and drive implementation. Review requirements, UAT and documentation.
Prepare business cases, CBAs and proposals for improvement opportunities.
Identify common issues, solutions and best practices across the enterprise to drive maximum business impact and ROI.
Lead presentations to key business leaders & stakeholder to report out on improvements, Action Plans and progress from process improvement workshops.
Manage the pipeline of improvement opportunities and ensure successful completion of initiatives.
Drive process improvements to successful completion. Deliver tangible and incremental value to external and internal stakeholders.
Ensure proper engagement and communication around scope, roles/responsibilities, key milestones/deliverables & technology risks/dependencies.
Develop and maintain thoughtful KPIs & scorecards to measure process effectiveness and success of improvement initiatives. Ensure benefit targets are realized and sustained.
Lead the development of Process Excellence Standards and tools to be leveraged across the organization. Ensure adoption and adherence.
Serve as a consultant, champion, and educator on the value and use of process improvement standards & tools. Lead a culture focused on customer value, continuous improvement, elimination of waste and measurable performance.
Train, develop and coach Process Analysts and ensure delivery of quality work product.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Master's Degree and/or Insurance Certification a plus
10+ years' experience delivering measurable results on process improvement and/or automation projects
Experience in P&C insurance industry and/or Underwriting preferred
LEAN Certification or trained in LEAN & Six Sigma principles
Experience with AI, RPA and knowledgeable about the latest process & automation technology solutions
Expert with Business Process Mapping (BPM) tools (i.e. Signavio, Visio, etc.)
