2024 Underwriting Summer Internship Program - Commercial Casualty
Location: Los Angeles, CA - Hybrid (3 days on site, 2 days remote)
Join the Everest 2024 Summer Internship Program! This is an exciting opportunity to receive exposure to the world of Property & Casualty Reinsurance and Insurance through dynamic training, firsthand business experience, and networking with the industry's leading experts and experienced professionals. Throughout the Program, you can expect to build upon the academic foundations you have established at school and apply your learning to real world scenarios. The Program will run for 10 weeks beginning June 2024. Everest does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Successful candidates must possess the requisite permanent US employment authorization to be eligible for consideration.

Your Impact & Opportunity
We are looking for interns to support the Commercial Casualty team in our Los Angeles, CA office. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the pre-qualification of deals/providing summary to underwriting team to help with submission flow
Assist in classifying all submissions received, quoted, declined etc. for reporting and data analytics
Research regarding M&A market trends, including overall activity, price multiples development etc.
Partner with Everest Specialty Underwriting groups on assigned projects as requested
Provide support as needed to remote Everest Specialty Underwriting office locations
What You Bring: Experience & Qualifications
You are a junior pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university
Excellent communication, analytical, critical thinking, collaboration, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in MS Office software, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Leadership or involvement in extracurricular activities, campus clubs/organizations, your community, etc.
Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment

For California Only: The base salary range for this position is $800-1,000 per week. This position is eligible for overtime and paid time off. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
