The Campus Hygiene Cleaning Specialist is charged with the responsibility for safely and efficiently cleaning plant floor restrooms, disbursing rest room, lunch-room supplies, deep cleaning building walls ceilings, pipes, tops of machines, etc. Snow removal at doors and front sidewalks as needed.

Key Responsibilities and Purpose

The primary responsibility of the Campus Hygiene Cleaning Specialist is to safely perform basic cleaning efficiently by ensuring requisite supplies are present, following standard operating procedures, replace or repair broken parts as skills allow to return the equipment to facility to its original beauty. Other responsibilities include:
Cleaning & disinfecting floors using floor scrubber, broom, mop as neededDisinfecting restrooms fixtures, break areas and officesRemoving trashWashing window and glassCleaning machinesRemoving snow with a shovel or snow throwerClean equipment, walls, ceilings and facilities using scissor lifts and JLGCommunicate areas are being maintained by using appropriate warning signsCommunicate preventive maintenance performed, supplies used and time associated with the completed work via computerized system and standard operating proceduresCommunicate and address safety issues and equipment repairs needed immediately as discovered in a collaborative way with teammates, Facilities Manager, supervisors, engineers and operatorsPerforming preventive and reactive cleaning/maintenance on facilities, small devices or equipment as trained and assigned.Strictly complying with hygiene standards for all work areasSafely and legally operating motorized vehicles and heavy equipmentTemporarily connecting power cables safely to small cleaning equipmentExhibiting exemplary safety habits in all work assignments ( i.e. Proper PPE)Inspecting work equipment as directedSupporting and participating in continuous improvement projects as requested
Qualifications and Competencies

To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate the ability to accurately identify and reach the area for maintenance, execute the cleaning or minor repair and return the equipment or area to the desired state. They must possess excellent orientation skills, and understand basic mechanical principles. Other tasks include:

Education
High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred
Experience
Experience as an industrial cleaner is preferred
