SUMMARY:  Collect production and warehouse information on movement of finished product and raw materials, confirm accuracy of data and enter into computer inventory system via RF unit, handheld device, or computer. 

Performs and monitors product inventories and cycle counts in a warehouse; and ensures materials align with the declared lists and documents, maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity.

Conducts inventory reviews and assessments, uses specific software to assess product inventories, measures and weighs products, maintains records, opens and re-packages shipments, organizes products according to procedures, locates lost goods, and reports inconsistent or damaged goods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include continuous ongoing projects in development of the department and cross training as well as: 

• Assist the inventory control lead and back up in the conductance of the cycle count program as well as proper identification of root cause. 


•  Manage assigned inventories through daily cycle counts and annual physical counts (PI).
   Maintain communication and effective coordination with supported customers (internal/external).


•  Record and report inventory variances to management.  


•  Assists Lead and/or Supervisor on the removal and physical disposition of obsolete, damaged, and outdated products once approved by finance.  


• Establish and maintain a working environment conductive to positive morale, quality, creativity, and teamwork.  


• Able to perform Inventory Control activities in the most appropriate and effective manner (e.g., lifting, counting, use of RF Gun, handheld device, documenting, cleaning, and organizing the working area) 


• Additional activities as directed.


• Ensure compliance with Company and Safety policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

• Experience in the areas of Material Handling, Order pulling, and Warehouse environment is a plus.


• Good knowledge and understanding of Inventory Controls, Work in Process, Manufacturing, Shipping and WMS functions. 


• Ability to identify and resolve problems that arise in a distribution environment. 


• Knowledge and application of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) while investigating inventory issues. 


• Ability to exercise sound judgment within established guidelines. 


• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing format.


• Knowledge of English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.


• Excellent math skills


• Ability to follow written/verbal instructions. 


• Inventory Control, Materials, Order Pulling, and Warehouse experience (preferred)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education. 

COMPUTER SKILLS:  Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform mathematical functions.
