POSITION SUMMARY
The After School Program Facilitator position is a 10-month part time position that would typically work Monday Friday between the hours of 3:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. following the school calendar. The program serves students in grades 4th to 12th. There may be opportunities for summer work during the summer enrichment program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Education, Criminal Justice or Criminology field from an accredited college or university preferred and a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing human services.


2. Must possess demonstrated verbal and written communication skills as well as strong PC skills, including common MS Office applications.


3. Demonstrated ability to be a team player required, including a capacity to work well under pressure.


4. Must be able to meet the hours of the position


5. Must have a valid driver’s license (Pennsylvania or for state in which resides) and acceptable driving record.


6. Must be eligible for PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Clearance.


7. Must be able to identify with the agency Mission Statement and support the agency’s Core Values.

POSITION SPECIFIC CORE COMPETENCIES:

1. Communicates with family and referring agency on child’s progress in the program.


2. Completes monthly reports that are forwarded to referring sources outlining the participants progress and attendance in the program.


3. Acts as a role model and has the ability to offer support when necessary.


4. Supports participants in any academic commitments that they may have.


5. Provide transportation for the students to and from the program as needed.


6. Attends departmental and professional trainings, workshop and conferences to ensure best practices.
